Michael Spornathon: Ray Kosarin Interview

I've been on a huge Michael Sporn kick this past year, if you want a quick primer on him heavily recommend reading this, and I've been extremely fortunate to get a chance to talk with the artists who worked on his films! This time is a written interview from Ray Kosarin-- an animator and animation director on many of Sporn's short films. It's a real great read with such rigorous responses... Hope you all enjoy!

Rambling About The Lenticulars

With Studio Trigger’s future line-up looking the most creatively dry it’s been for a while–  more Edgerunners, more Dungeon Meshi– I was desperately longing for something original from them, from the ground up with no bullshit. Some people are trying to spin Edgerunners 2 into a “well it’s kinda sorta one!” but I just can’t get behind that. Really I’m still trying to sort out my own feelings on that announcement months after it happened. Ikarashi and Kanno you two deserve so much better!

Rambling about Kezzardrix

 

I saw Kezzardrix was credited on Shingo Natsume's SpyFam opening-- under the weird ass credit of "Credits Programming" from the name alone it's easy to tell it's got something to do with how the credits were presented.. But it's hard to tell considering the version on YT takes them out! Managed to get rip with the credits anyway and they're about as weird as I expected them to be. Neat stuff, but she's done way cooler stuff with Natsume in the past.
